“The Golden Girls were referred to us by a top skilled nursing facility in Sarasota. I am beyond grateful for the referral as Mom and I navigated understanding the Memory Care landscape in the area. We were assigned Neema Patel who I can say is actually an angel. She was incredibly knowledgeable which was so helpful, but beyond that the caring approach she offered was above and beyond. Yes, I know Golden Girls are paid for placement but not once did I feel this compromised the honest guidance we received. Calls were returned promptly, appointments were made by Neema and she actually joined us for each of our meetings. Not something online services offer. It was such a relief to have someone with us who knew what questions to ask and things to consider. It turned out that we were able to bring Dad home, thank goodness, but that didn’t stop Neema from offering continued checkins to see how Mom was doing. She then made recommendations based on all of our criteria. She met us at the facilities and helped guide us through the process. Helped ask the right questions. “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Neema Patel with Golden Girls. She assisted me with finding a “good fit” memory care for my husband who has advanced Alzheimer’s. As we were just about to begin the process of placing him, he fell and broke his ankle, had surgery to repair and Neema helped me find a rehabilitation facility. She supported us the entire time in rehab and nearing his discharge from rehab, helped me find a memory care facility that was able to deal with my husband’s specific issues. Her unwavering support during this transition went far beyond my expectations. “I have known Brittany for many years. I knew her first as the Marketing Director for my mother’s previous ALF. She later became the Director of the facility.
After she left as Director, my mother started developing memory issues. We needed to find a different facility for my mother; one that could handle her memory issues without putting her in Memory Care.
Brittany was my first and only person to call. Even though she knew my mother very well, she met with my husband and I to determine what her current needs were.
She took my husband, my mother and I on several visits to other ALFs. There was one facility that was clearly the perfect fit for my mother - and that is where she went. My mother has been there for a couple of years, and she is happy and they take great care of her.
Brittany is a very caring, loving person who thrives on helping others. She knows and understands everything about a person who needs help: whether it be with placement in an ALF, a Memory Care Facility, or help at home - Brittany will help find what is right for them and their family.
